I thought of talking about the exchange rate and the markets. But what’s the point. Can’t do anything about them. And, as someone asked me at my canoe club last night, “So are the markets broken?” To which I responded, “not at all, they just got a bit cheaper.”
Yesterday morning I had breakfast alone with the evergreen and very British gentleman from Sarasin Asset Managers out of London. He travels through once a year. We agreed that this market stuff was in a sense bit of price correcting and a few other adjustments and moved on to discussing Sarasin’s funds and their strategy. Sarasin was one of the companies I visited in London last year. Their offices are across from St Paul’s Cathedral. I remember getting to the Cathedral but taking 20 minutes to find the entrance to their offices!
