Weekly Thoughts 20 October 2017

I listened to three Allan Gray analysts yesterday morning. One of them an offshore manager out from Bermuda, where Allan Gray himself lives and runs the global business from. I meant to ask this guy about hurricane survival, but forgot.

They talked about retired people taking income and the associated risks, a very technical presentation this was, then around when and why and which companies they owned in their funds. Like Woolworths locally and Samsung internationally, focussing here on batteries and energy storage technology in the development of electric cars.

Their presentations were actually very good. I often battle to remain stimulated in some of these sessions.
